Dont really see the point tbh when you can get such good deals on new
No, me neither, none of those prices look particularly attractive or unusually cheap.

Looking for a new commercial vehicle for business, anyone got any recommended sites or are the usual suspects for cars fine to use?

Will have to lease a daily run around in the next couple of months so am going to keep an eye out.

I don't need anything specific but wouldn't mind a smaller car that's not completely gutless. Maybe trying to hang on to my youth while it slips through my fingers.

Fiat Abarth - £800 initial payment - £265pcm - 3 years - seems ridiculous money for what is is?

Scirocco - will look at the deal on the previous pages

Mini - Bit boring but could be tempted with a cracking deal.

Have been following this thread for sometime now so have come across many of the different comparison sites that have been posted.

The quote I have stumbled across seems a little odd,the "too good to be true" springs to mind as it's almost half price compared to other sites.

The car is a Nissan Pulsar 1.2 DiG-T Tenka on a personal lease 5k

£143.40 x 23 + £860.40 deposit + £60 admin fee http://personalcarleasing.co.uk/cars/39796/Nissan-...

Searching on a site that pops up here quite often "contracthireandleasing" the figures for the Tenka are almost double. The quotes on "contracthireandleasing" are for 10k mileage but even on the link I have posted at 10k they are still way under.

Would be very grateful if anyone could point out if I have gone wrong somewhere. I have phoned personal car leasing and they are sending some details.

Regards Jas

EDITED

Sorry here is the comparison site https://www.contracthireandleasing.com/car-leasing...

What are people doing for insurance on lease cars? Its an UP for the business, cheap at £101+vat a month on a 6+35 with 15k miles a year. Will be used by two members of staff and VWFS tell me the V5 will be in their name.

First Vehicle Leasing - offer was by email this morning and isn't on their website so I guess very limited numbers.
This seems very good value...

Mine is a personal lease rather than business but I am neither the owner or keeper of the car. Using comparison sites ended up giving me premiums of almost twice what it would be if I was the owner and keeper. However both Admiral and Direct line didn't care who the car was owned and registered to. Both quoted the same at £180 fully comp on a focus ST-2 Nav with 0 voluntary excess.

Fair point i was just idly wondering if they would be worth a look, but seems not with new car deals being quite amazing in some cases.

Oh, just submitted my quote request with G2L on this. Looks too good to be true but waiting to hear back.
Any latest news on this? spoke to freedom this morning and no issue was mentioned then!

Had an email from G2L. White at £191.99 a month or Viper green at £197.99 a month. No lead time given, but as not in stock am assuming 4-6 weeks as stated on the website.

I spoke to my friend David who I used to work with at Western VW in Edinburgh about the Scirocco leases. The deals are attractive on the R due to an overstock on a certain number of cars - it was sent as a bulletin from VWUK. They cannot be factory ordered on the deal in question but there are a limited choice of colours and gearboxes still available.

3+23 based on £223 per month plus vat based on standard car - metallic and optional extras paid up front in deposit at list price. DSG +£20/month roughly. Delivery November. Call and ask for David Selkirk on 0131 657 1234.

Good thing about the above is you get a proper reputable dealer service rather than a lease company you've never heard of. That deal stacks up to be as cheap overall as the Golf R deals previously available.

Quite tempted myself.

Could you get him on here? We could do with a good VW guy!

There's probably more to this than I can imagine, but on the face of it 'overstock' and 'delivery November' seem at odds with each other.

Really tempted by that deal for the Scirocco however I am only a year into my lease on a mini. If I were to 'give' the mini to my mum and for her to insure it fully comp in her name with me as a named driver but whilst I continue with the direct debit payments... would this be allowed? Car is from G2L and leased via Network/Leaseplan

This wanted £2400 upfront. Then 24 payments of £191.99.

Plus there's a £180 administration fee, so it's starting to look less good than the initial headline figure.

Central offering:
Term 2 years
Mileage 10k
Deposit £2400 (inc VAT)
Fees £240
Monthly £155.99
(or for a lower deposit of £1200 inc VAT, monthly of (215.99)

G2L are a bit over but still < £200 a month on the same. I’m no expert on leasing but it seems a pretty good deal to me. I can’t change my car until October otherwise I’d be pulling the trigger.

He probably wouldnt have time due to the crazy hours he works and how busy he is to be honest.

It does seem strange to quote overstock when the cars haven't been built yet. It could be down to oversupply of parts that they have and they know they won't find it easy to sell that many R's. Just like they got rid of a lot of the Golf Cab chassis by bringing out the Golf R cab.
