Best lease car deals available?
Discussion
Any advice on this deal : http://www.freedomcontracts.com/Volvo-XC60-D4-181-...
I think it looks quite good.

Slightly off-topic, but what is the best way to go about test driving a vehicle that your actually looking to purchase from a lease company?
I'm quite tempted by the Merc C250 AMG Line deals out there but id like to test drive one and see if its worth paying extra for the Premium Packs or not. I can't imagine staff at a Mercedes dealership being too helpful if they know that I wont actually be buying through them.

I looked at a similar deal for my wife through G2L. Can't argue with the cost but I was a little underwhelmed by the standard spec on the R Design model.I think it looks quite good.

Looking at their configurator, a C250 AMG Line comes in black or white solid paint, black leather.I'm quite tempted by the Merc C250 AMG Line deals out there but id like to test drive one and see if its worth paying extra for the Premium Packs or not. Premium adds ambient LED lighting, memory seats, keyless go, and panoramic sunroof. The Premium Plus adds a 13-speaker stereo and bigger satnav, live traffic, wifi hot spot, internet access and 10GB MP3 storage.
They are normally £1600 and £2800 extra, and on a lease the added cost tends to be a fraction of that, so quite good value in my opinion, as normally lease options cost you full retail, for a car you don't own (although truthfully at resale many of the options are worthless anyway!)

Merc dealer can do lease - tell them what you are looking to buy/test drive and ask them for numbers. If they can match any other leasing company then cool.
Tried that, the dealer couldn't get anywhere near the internet prices, but they did put me in touch with their corporate division who beat the online price I'd seen.RYH64E said:

Should have got the test drive first! If you are in touch with corporate then ask them if they can arrange something for you. Failing that you need to find another dealer!

My partner needs to get shot of her Honda Jazz and get a cheap lease - we have 2 kids and a small car is all she needs for short journeys - she won't do more than 6k pa.
We have my car for main trips so something cheap and cheerful (with air con) is all that's needed.
Is a £100 odd pm deal out there - without a massive upfront cost? (A 4 years deal is ideal too)

There's 3+47 deals at £115-£125, plus a 6+23 at £99.95. Sorry on iPhone so can't provide link, but plenty on www.contracthireandleasing.com

i can scarcely believe that anyone was in the market for a Golf R and missed out, the deal was on for such a long time... far longer that anyone expected. Anyway, if you're really gutted and committed to a Golf of that ilk (ish) then there are some good deals on GTD still around, maybe even better than they were previously.
£2000+VAT then 23 x £139.99+VAT
£6300 or so in total over 2 years basically.
5k PA but 6ppm excess
DSG add £35pcm
or you can get a povvo spec 1.6TDi match for under £100 a month now, or an Up! for under £50. For the missus, obvs.

a Golf TDI for under £100 a month? Surely not?
Are you forgetting to amortise the deposit over the length of the agreement? Otherwise it's a meaningless number - I hear BMW are doing M3's for £1 a month (With a £65k deposit)
Thanks for the sucking eggs tutorial grandson! If you look at the GTD that's exactly what i did do. I couldn't be arsed to do it for the others as they were boring and the deposits seemed the same level of chunk... but for the sake of discussion:Are you forgetting to amortise the deposit over the length of the agreement? Up! £800+VAT then 23x49.99+VAT on 5k PA with 3.6ppm excess = £2339.72
Golf 1.6TDi Match £1500+VAT then 23x£99+VAT on 5k PA with 6ppm excess, DSG add £10 = £4532.40
there may be doc fees etc, but if you want me to go hunting for all that then i may as well buy it and drive it for you too!

If you missed out on the Golf R, try a GTD.
If you missed out on Emily Ratjakowski, try Emily Smith (my tolerably attractive neighbour who smells a bit).
Listen if you missed it, you dun fked up. You should be made to drive a clown car for 2 years. Smoky golf clatterbox is a godsend by comparison. If you missed out on Emily Ratjakowski, try Emily Smith (my tolerably attractive neighbour who smells a bit).
