Garmin mobile speed camera bong

Can anyone please help me? I bought a Garmin satnav earlier this year to replaced my broken TomTom. If I go even one mph over the speed limit where there are mobile speed cameras it bongs every few seconds. Its driving me crazy. I've had a look at the settings and found no way to disable it. Does anyone know how I can stop the mobile camera bong?

You could try keeping to the speed limits.

Found this link which gives the steps as -

1) Touch Tools
2) Skip this step on some devices
3) Touch Settings
4) Touch Proximity Points
5) Touch Alerts

Have not tried them yet but this will hopefully solve the problem.
