Just been into my local dealer sorting out 'some bits' for my 458 cool, and had a drool over a GTO for sale there. These have so much more 'presence' than the F12 that was parked alongside.
Doesn't appear that there many are for sale at the moment and still strong money - good investment??

They forgot to mention it comes with £100k cash in the boot.

So Foskers pricing prompted a £50k increase in the privately advertised 599 GTO on Pistonheads from £400k (at which level it did not sell) to £450k.
I am no economist but are these the characteristics of a bubble ?

Putting the price up by 50k does not constitute a bubble - just wishful thinking. Buying it at that price does.

Crazy to think you could get one for £320k last year and now a similar one is up for £480k.

Is that advert right - we're there only 49 RHD made? Or is that 49 UK cars?

Are they selling at that though?

That's the thing. The white one at the top of my original post was for sale for a good while, as I think the others were too.

I'm not sure which advert you are referring to that says 49. Foskers says 60. Anyhow, there were about 80 RHD delivered new to the UK.

Hi,

This one... http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/f...

Wasnt there something like 750 made in the end too, in total?

Ah okay. Yes, that's incorrect. About 80 for the UK plus other RHD markets (Hong Kong, Singapore, Australia etc.) so a lot more than the 49 according to that advert and more than the 60 according to Foskers.

As to your last sentence, I couldn't possibly comment...

60 for the UK is about correct (I think it's 61). For 500 miles only I presume there's a premium but £ 480K is either a typo, or they're sniffing something.

When I said about 80 above, I meant about 80 not about 60. I have more than 70 chassis numbers and know I'm not complete.

You're not my old headmaster by any chance?

60, 70, 80 or 93.68594.........the 599 GTO is an epic drive and is destined for greatness. While Fosker's I believe are having a laugh right now, if they do sell it for anything like their asking price I'll be on cloud9

Now sold - and it's time to take up residence on that cloud! I'll give you a call.

Congratulations Camlet,Maff and all other 599 GTO owners on here.I passed on a new one and on a second hand one significantly below 300k on basis they would depreciate Proves how much I know. Please ignore any opinion on values that I give in future on Pistonheads!
