Off on Holiday from Surrey to all over Scotland on monday so had to get some harnesses for our doggies...

We saw these 'Doxlock' harnesses on a few Bulldogs in London and they seemed really cool, you can even get name badges that velcro on.
Really good quality and seem nice & comfy- no complaints from them! Should stop them falling off a mountain or jumping in the roads round Edinburgh!

Bumped into a chap while waiting for the misses outside the passport office in Peterborough on Sat. Had a nice chat with the owner and a few cuddles with his frenchie. I noticed that he was quite big for a frenchie, the owner replied that he was a cross with an English bully.

So he had the body of an English bully but with a frenchies head.

Not something I'd heard of before.

Myself and the wife saw a huge Frenchie in London a few months back, it wasn't fat it was just huge, more like an English Bulldog size, perhaps he was a Frenchie/English Bulldog cross.

I thought the same HTP.

I said to this bloke he looked stacked which is when he replied about being a cross.

He also said that he got him free from a friend that could no longer look after him.

Jammy git wish I could find something like that.

We where joking about how much frenchies/bullys are to buy at the moment.

We were fortunate that we re-homed Daisy; our female French Bulldog, late last year when she was only 14 months old and paid not a penny for her.

We have been looking into re-homing another at some point, a few come up through the French Bulldog FB page, you are looking at around £500.

Haha yeah that's our two... Had a good trip btw, 1700 miles in a motorhome in one week! Off to France in September, will be doing a day trip to Paris to get some pics with them under the Eiffel Tower! Can't wait...

Having a British Bull I do love winnie. But Pete just has one of those faces, he looks so unimpressed with life, love the video of him running around and flying like a loony.

If your ever short of activities to keep you busy when your travelling north again I'd love to meet your lot- south shields is a great spot for a day out on the route to or from Scotland :-)

Haha thanks for the offer that sounds really fun, and I've never been to that part of the England either. I've parked my car to chat to Bulldog owners in the past so meeting up if we head that way is a no brainer.

Cheers, Matt

How are everyone's Bulldogs coping with the heat?

My Frenchie is really struggling at the moment, the annoying thing is she is all hyper and wants a walk however most of the time it's too hot for her, even late at night. We do play with her in the garden with a bubble blower as she loves her bubbles but she is wrecked within 5 mins but once she has had a rest and water she's back to being all mental again as she hasn't used up all her energy.

I was a bit worried on Monday as the wife took her for a walk which was too long and she was shattered when she got back and threw up, fortunately there were no ill effects.

My old bulldog likes to sunbathe until he is panting his head off. Seems to make him happy.

Lot's of people on Bulldog Rescue seem to use paddling pools to help keep them cool. Worth a trip to the £ shop.

We bought him one: he was terrified of it, the big jessie.

Daisy loves chilling in the Sun, it's just the moving around part that knackers her out.

As for a paddling pool, I put her in our grandsons last night; she was not amused!!

We live inDubai, and today it was 44, in the shade. Tank loves to. Sunbathe and doesn't know when he's had enough. We let him have 5 minutes then get him into the aircon where he will pant for 20 mins or so. Both my bulldogs have been in the pool once each. I dragged Tank in (Never again) and Mildred fell in and had to be rescued. Neither of them will go in on their own accord!

Well it's been a while since I put up a few Bully pics, and seeing as we're on holiday in France I've got some time to catch up...

Tomorrow - Paris!
