Chap tries to demonstrate his Volvo pedestrian safety mode, possibly forgot to have that option ticked and just had the standard "City Safety" system that only stops low speed impacts against vehicles.

Whoever owns the bridge has put a reinforced barrier 2 foot infront of the bridge to stop damage, it happens that frequantly!

I rented a truck last week and forgot about a low bridge on my route home.
I stopped about 100 meters before the bridge to check.
Sign said 10'4" and hand scribbled note on the cab sun visor said 10'4".
With a bit of logic I decided that the posted height must be a clearance height and went ahead and drove through.
No problem and feeling quite smug with myself I headed home.

About ten minutes later I ran up the rear end of a Fiesta at a roundabout
