I think I understand the concept - but I cannot get over the idea of a train existing in two different states based on perspective.

For me, all I can keep thinking is that the train is a fixed length. The tunnel is a fixed length, so how can the train be longer/or shorter depending on whether you're standing outside looking in, or sitting inside looking out.

The analogy made more sense for the muons, due to their speed. It lost me at the train part.
