I need to cut a round section of SS exhaust pipe/trim and want to confirm if this can be achieved with a stnd drill attachment or a dremel? I've never used a dremel previously so would this be powerful or substantial enough?

Unsuprisingly local garage arn't interested.

Any kind of stone cutting/slitting wheel, angle grinder with a cutting wheel or a small dremmel one (Probably work)

edit: Misread your post, sorry. Holesaw as said by other posters.

A plasma cutter is the perfect tool for this

Sadly they don't fit in a drill

Holesaw in a pillar drill would be my plan.

If you need to cut a round hole, as per previous poster a hole saw, nice and slow rpms, take your time so you don't work harden the stainless and ruin the hole saw, and use plenty of cutting fluid.
If you want to cut a piece off the end of a round tube, angle grinder.
