I was just thinking that.

1990's British car - bad news
1990's British 4 door saloon - bad news
1990's British 4 door saloon with wood panelling - bad news

Mind you, chances of it actually working and getting there will be small to none wink
Yea, but mine hasn't any wood panelling or much interior at all come to that. It has been on a diet. About 300kg lost so far....

By august, a further 200kg should go, plus new wheels and tyres - lighter and stickier, water injection, transmission paddle conversion, etc etc.

Have you ever heard the phrase, "in the spirit of..." wink

Mine is undergoing a bit of love too. Should be around 1250kg, getrag 265 dogleg racing box, LSD with 1:1 final drive, Bilstein Sport gas dampers, H&R lowered springs, W&N front and rear strut braces, Piper 280 high lift fast road cam, faster breathing exhaust etc. Should be good for 240bhp and the same torque.

Will be fun.

Mine will have me in it, which will be quite a handicap in more ways than one.

I can see this turning into a willy-waving contest!

Ok, mine should be around 1800kg and 500bhp and about 600 torque.
So I raise your 192 bhp/tonne with my 278bhp/tonne!!

So your dogleg means you will forget and start in reverse???

Splendid, very accomodating of you.

I fear you may have made an error...I haven't got a clue what to expect at Blyton, I think I may go for a pax lap with someone first.

A few questions:

1) Are tights acceptable in place of trousers?

2) Where is the nearest 99RON+ fuel? I've heard that it's not near and some people bring top ups in jerry cans.

3) What does it really feel like when doves cry?

4) Is anyone booking dinner at our st hotel?

5) Will there be a penalty for anyone trailering their st car in?

A few more questions (if you would be so kind and save me trawling through 18 pages to find the answer - and the Motorpunk website is under construction)

1) What time is driver sign on?
2) Can you re-post the directions for the track please?
3) Are 2nd drivers included? Do they just have to attend the driver brief or do I need to send their details in advance?
3) What hotel are you all staying at on the Thursday?
4) Can the trailer penalty be dropped if it is based on the grounds of mpg?

Thanks

Mark

Gents,

Worth making a point that if you forget to bring your driving licence you won't be able to drive - no exceptions. Remember to pack it.

And my favourite trick - forgetting your counterpart...
Lost mine years ago, never needed it at Silverstone, Oulton or Goodwood (thank fook).

So 6 days to go. How is everyone getting along?

My beemer is now taxed, tested and fixed. Needs a fair bit of running in before Blyton, so far managed 150 miles. Hope to have that up to c.400 when I arrive in weird Lincolnshire on Thursday lunch time.

Anyone driving down from the north?

I am, but on the day, I hope.

After weeks of feeling smug using my Elise as a daily with no issues at all while you and others struggled to get your cars ready...this morning it dumped a 2 foot by 3 foot puddle of hydraulic fluid on the road.

To add insult to injury this was 30 minutes before my ZT 260 was collected by it's new owner, now leaving me without any working car at all.

I suspect the clutch but as the clutch and brakes share the same reservoir and as the engine bay is a very hot place I'm not going to drive it anywhere and am going to try and get the car recovered to a garage on Monday.

Wish me luck getting it sorted!

Talkwrench (who fixes my cars when they break and is on the Blyton day in his 850csi) has got the very same Elise. He may be able to assist over the phone/pm if you need an expert to chat with.
