indeed it does! first offer was a pay cut! revision is still not what i consider fair compensation for the role but is circa 25% increase on current package and will enhance my CV as i keep on looking. also my bonus is payable in feb on the new rate so there's another 20-30% of basic to spend on cars look forward to.

Well done Phil.

I too have had enough of the UAE and all its trappings. Amazing once you have been out of the UAE for a decent length of time that you realise what you are missing.

cheers matey.

i'm actually fairly settled here again, largely due to having a trackable car and lots of trackdays to play with it! i just feel like a change and that needs to be either major career move inside the region or a change of scenery to somewhere more suited to long term living.

I would actually like to spend some time in Dubai (it has been great this week as I have been out cycling most mornings). Sadly next year will see me away more than ever as it looks like it will be Riyadh (again) and Nairobi with a couple of trips to New York.

I have been out of the UAE since April 2014 and have been back for a total of 2 weeks in that time. I did not enjoy being back, I have to admit.
