I've never been so utterly terrified in all my life.

And i was once chased through a jungle by people with guns.

Somebody please reassure me!

There was a thread on here recently about this. 99% of people on that said it was fine, injection to the sack is the worse I recall.

My wife got one of those non hormonal coils fitted and they last 10 years so a while before I have to face this.

Tell me more about being chased through the jungle by people with guns. Did someone shout "Get to tha chopper"?

Didn't want to say it but there was one story in the previous thread that made me wince. I leave you both to go and find the gory details!

My experiences when this was done to me several years ago:

Nether regions shaved by hefty and course female nurse.

Injection in left gooley - aargh.
Injection in right gooley - aargh.
Start incision in left gooley - aargh.
Administer further injection to left gooley due to insufficient first time - aargh.
Repeat for right gooley.

Hobble out and attempt to get into car - aargh.

It was the seeming impossible rotation of the plums inside the sack, up and up and up they went and down and down and down....

You'll be fine!

I told my story elsewhere but had to comment after this picture. I live over the channel, and they do things differently there. I was literally out. General anaesthetic. I was surprised and dubious but reading some of the other stories it seems a great idea. Zero pain before, during and afterwards. I now have a prescription to provide a sample for a test in a few weeks before I get the all clear.

If the OP were to stay out, then he wouldn't need the snip in the first place

They're messing with you, mostly.

No shaving required. Local anaesthetic, 1 small incision, 5 mins of fiddling about, and you're out. Slight discomfort for the rest of the day, but fine in the morning. No after effects, other than never worrying about unintended consequences again.

Agree fully. Had mine done in June and was confirmed as a Jaffa a couple of weeks back. It was a sore evening and a couple of days without a shower (worst thing for me) but no pain or any other issues.

Speak for yourself!!!!

I was absolutely fine until the anaesthetic started wearing off in the taxi on the way home. The pain then rapidly escalated to howling with pain and barely being able to get up the stairs to spend the rest of the day in bed, shoveling down all the pain killers I thought I could get away with.

It was another 3 days before I was up to leaving the house, and even now, 5 years later, it still gets sore from time to time when the boys are trying to do that which they no longer can as a result of the op!

The doc insisting on showing me the little bits of tube he'd snipped out was pretty grim, but chatting to him about his driving holiday to Monte Carlo in his Morgan whilst he was stabbing me in the bks was totally surreal!

Best tip I can give is to rest for a couple of days afterwards, put your feet up, if you get a bit sore stick a bag of frozen peas down there, seriously, that's what I did, worked a treat. My mate had it done a few weeks after me, went back to work next day thinking he was fine, however his poor plums were almost black with the bruising of being bashed about in his pants.
