This is Daisy:

She is a 14m old deaf French Bulldog whom we have re homed.

Her owners had a house fire and the accommodation that they moved into wouldn't accept pets so shes been spending the last few weeks with a friend of theirs; there was a male as well however he was re homed a few weeks ago, I should imagine because he wasn't deaf, I know they have struggled to find a home for Daisy.

A friend at work mentioned her to me a couple of weeks ago with some third hand sketchy information, as we had just had our Pug PTS a few weeks prior to that, he thought we would be ideal; we weren't looking for a new dog as we thought we would wait until the summer however you know how these things tend to pan out!

So far there have been a few toilet accidents and she's taken rather an enthusiastic liking to our two cats however it's early days, her routine is out of kilter a bit too as the person who was looking after her was a bit lax with certain things however nothing that can't be sorted.

We are looking forward to many fun years ahead.

Aww, you went for it smile. I know you were questioning whether to or not (I can definitely understand why). Well you made the right choice, good on you and all the best with her. She's a very lucky dog smile

Daisy looks superb. cloud9

I imagine it'll be a challenge initially but fine once you all settle in to a routine and learn each other's ways. smile

Well she is already learning to stop hassling the cats using a flat hand or waggle of the finger infornt of her, and then a treat, it'll take a little longer to sort though as she can't help herself going for the cats in the first place.

I took her for a quick walk this morning and she's one of those dogs that likes to chase cars, pull on the lead and also bark at everyone, that'll all soon stop!! I took her out last night, there were no cars or people about, for a 20 minute walk round the block and by the time we got back she was already walking better and mostly to my side, I had to stop rather alot to correct her when she started to pull though, next time I need to take a pocket full of treats with me.

Bit of a pain regarding her feeding and something that the previous owner wasn't happy about; She went to her temporary accomodation with a massive thing of Wainwrights food however they fed her solely on Bakers complete which is full of additives, her vet said it was the dog equivalent of McDonalds, she didn't touch her food last night or this morning, the wife went out to get some Bakers and she scoffed it all down, it looks as though we will have to introduce the Wainwrights gradually.

So so far so good and it seems she is a relatively fast learner.

She is fantastic fun too.

She won't sit still long enough for me to get any; she has so much energy, I'll see what I can do over the next few days.

Love her spotty ears mate.

I'd like a tan or white with some black but the misses is set on a grey. There just so much bleedin money for a pup though.
