Go to the armoury on the airship. There should be a suit you can take without it being counted as stealing (be aware that the other suits there will be a crime if you take them).
In story terms, that's because the mechanic says "that's your suit over there". smile

I did put that bit in a spoiler tag!

In fairness, people are being very good at using spoiler tags on here which is why I continue to read.
I know, was only tongue in cheek. smile

I'm not going near a lot of the spoiler tags and most of the stuff people are talking about only makes sense in context so no real biggie for me.

I really need to arrange for more time to play this as I'm just not able to put in the hours I'd like. I think I need to hatch a plan to send the family away for a day or two. If I make it sound like I am doing it as a treat for them, I may even earn some brownie points :scratchin: biggrin

For the settlement builders out there - if you hold down A (xbox - don't know what it is on other machines) you can select whole buildings you have constructed and move them which gets around some of the clipping / positioning constraints. Just build what you want on a level and then pick it all up and put it where you need. Makes working with the quirky builder a lot easier.

Took me ages to figure out you can rotate objects with the triggers, you'd think they could've put that on-screen laugh

Here's my collection of power armour frames

Two of them were stolen. Couldn't manage to collect full T-51 set though.

As for the game - I finished it and I'm finished with it until all DLC's are out and they remove all the bugs. Couldn't stand new dialogs and all that Sims stuff. And many more things. F2 and NV were way better.
That's one of the reasons I built this:

It also has a picket fence around the front door, with no gate. Instead, I jump over the fence to access the store! I don't have any photos of the inside on my phone, but it's lined with power armour stations, lights, a couple of cat pictures and varying types of power armour! biggrin

I'm currently sitting at level 42 and haven't progressed much of the main storyline since the flashbacks with the breakfast cereal, if you know what I mean. I've been wandering around the map, which has been a nice little XP earner with Piper (romanced) in-tow, and en route I finally bagged myself a full set of X-01 power armour, and upgraded it to Mk VI. Suffice to say, the stats are ridiculous!

Even on Survival, I've only really struggled against enemies with explosive weaponry, grenades, rocket launchers, the kind of weaponry that can one-shot you pretty easily, especially with healing on Survival taking much longer than lesser difficulties. I did also encounter a Mirelurk Queen in the southern swamp area, and with only Piper in tow and no power armour it was a pretty drawn out fight, especially as the spitting acid attack with it's damage-over-time element could kill me instantly. There was a loss of kiting, a lot of sneaking, and a fair few curse words but I got it down eventually. Also found a couple of Deathclaws, but they're not so bad now; take out the legs first to stop them charging, then go for the head.

Also, and this is slightly random, I was checking my inventory earlier as I was nearing max carry weight (with 3 points in strength, that happens a lot!) and noticed, amongst other things, I was carrying over 100 carrots, 50 Mutfruits, and over 10,000 rounds of minigun ammo! I've no idea where all that ammo has come from, but with minguns not really being my jam, I haven't used them since the early story mode fight in Concord.

Wish you could upgrade Codsworth with some long range weapons. He packs a mean wallop in melee but his flame-thrower is pretty useless and it would be nice if you could give him a nice laser to whittle down opponents before they got into his melee range.

I've only managed to play a couple of hours so far and have reached the heady heights of level 3, but I killed my first deathclaw in Concord. That took a lot out of my power armor from the roof.

He also has a habit of getting right in the line of sight when trying to shoot something with the sniper rifle, I've shot him a few times to try and get him out of the way. I mostly wander on my own now as I've found them all to be a distraction.
Could somebody point me in the direction of the XO1 power armour?

X-01 power armour is level dependent, so somewhere after level 30 or so, you'll start finding it.

If you know where some power armour is, keep away until you level up a bit, and it'll start appearing randomly.

There is an armour set at fiddlers green estates trailer park, you'll get a radio distress signal about a guy stuck in a bunker with a dodgy leg.
If you hear that, and you're a low level, stay away and come back later.

edit- just checked, and it's level 26 or above for X-01 to start appearing.

Interesting. Thanks for that advice - makes perfect sense. I'll leave looking for new Power Armour until later on in that case (I am level 26 but will wait until higher). It's not like I am short of Power Armour with 4 frames and you can only wear one at a time.

Here's my current collection. Since I don't have spare resources to build multiple repair stations, I store them like this. Not so good for display purposes, but an efficient use of space. The one repair station is just out of shot.

hehe

LOL. Yes it does look a bit like that doesn't it. smile

It's a convenient way to store them, though, as it takes up little space and you do enter and exit Power Armour from the rear (ooer, missus). hehe

I haven't had any Power Armour stolen, I always remove the fusion core and no one gets in them.

There is a workaround for that, which appears to work on all platforms.

When the size cap is reached/almost reached, go to the workbench and store a load of your weapons in there (I find using my 9 primary weapons the easiest as they all have a '-' at the start of their name so they are always the first 9 items in my inventory). Then take the weapons back into to your inventory.

Turn around, go into your Pip Boy and drop those weapons onto the ground. Now pick each of them back up, and with each weapon you pick back up a small amount of your 'size cap' bar will reduce.

Obviously this can be repeated as much as you wish, as far as I'm aware (I did it around 10 times at the castle to get enough 'size cap' space to build everything... whistle
I shall be modding it soon enough, much easier than faffing around like this wink

I've reached a part where I can start making people dislike me without just wildly attacking. I should've seen it coming, there's still stuff I want to do with them before they won't let me... so I've lost the last hour, d'oh!

I have to own up to having collected 12 sets of power armour having just found the XO-1 set in a building named after a colour. You can't be too careful roaming about the Wastelands and without it I do get trounced all too often despite having a few good sniper rifles. I also took the Courser's clothing which is quite good and with a beret and shades I have to say does cut a dashing image.

X-01 starts appearing at level 26? I found my first set today at level 42 everything up to that point had been T-60, even playing predominantly on Survival.

I've found that I'm hoarding items more than I have on any other fallout. My item wheel has nine different weapons in it and I have a chest full of unique/legendary weapons and armour at sanctuary.

I started building a house for myself at Sanctuary, but it riled me that (using pre-fab wooden sections) all the wall sections are perfectly straight well-built panels, but the corner sections are full of HUGE gaps and look like they have been nailed together by Stevie Wonder. Whats all that about?? It bothers my OCD.

Anyway, having just entered diamond city last night, i bought myself a pad there from the mayor's office for 2,000 caps (i have over 3,000 caps because by level 20 i havent yet bought anything, and find caps everywhere). I intend to do that up and get it looking nice and store all my kit there. Presumably no-one can rob that place?

So, my partially complete Sanctuary house - what happens to it? How can i get people to move in?
Also, ive set a couple of guns up at the Sanctuary bridge but as far as i know, no-one has attacked yet. When does that start? At a certain level, or when your town gets to a certain size?
