Location and hotel recommendation, 200 miles from calais
Discussion
Hello, not the most exciting post but am in need of some help in finding a place to stay on the way back from Tuscany next year. We're driving to Sienna via Lake Como, where we will stay for a couple of days. We then head from Como to somewhere close to Sienna.
The last two years I have driven back from
Italy, and south west France in one go but it is a punchy drive to say the least. So, I have decided that I need to find somewhere a couple of hundred miles from Calais so day 1 can be 700 or so miles and then the next day is to Calais and then back to Wiltshire.
I had thought of Reims but don't know it really, just looked convenient. It would be nice it it felt more than just a pitstop and needs to be family friendly.
Any suggestions?
Thanks

Cheapish, clean, less than 10 mins walk to the centre and safe underground parking. Just stay out of the bars on the main square ..... 8 euros for a beer
