As per the title really?
Looking to coat or wrap the manifolds this winter, but if its an engine out job, I'm not sure if I'll be up for it.
Thanks folks.

....I've just done this ! with the engine in ...I had the manifolds (and Edward Quick's decat cones) Zircotec coated ...It's very possible ...but 2 or 3 bolts just seem impossible on first attempts ..alot of patience and trying different access points necessary ...with a variety of 6mm bits (and one 10mm nut)
to stand a chance :
1) Use a lot of penetrating fluid ..and let it seep in ...
2) have many 6mm hex allen keys ...and extension bars (flexible / rigid) .One key must be cut down , so only ~1cm is the leg right angle (if that makes sense)
3) Offside wheel off, Cats / exhaust off, battery out,(heat shielding pulled back, bonnet rain shield off
4) access from above and below.
5) lots of time ..and multiple cups of tea (thinking time).

Good luck and have fun
Matt.

You're hooked now, I can't resist taking things apart or looking inside things.... Jonka knows what I like!

It will not take you long, half a day if you soak them in WD before. Get a good set of hex keys, 1/4 drive so they are nice n slim.
