SEAT ibiza Cupra ecu into FR?

Hi, maybe this is a monumentally stupid question, but here goes anyway:
I have 2010 1.4tsi Ibiza FR; some time ago I went for a remap, but during mapping something went wrong and now the car needs a new ecu (all expenses covered by the tuner). Now I was thinking: would it be possible to run a Cupra (180hp/250Nm) ecu in my FR, thus eliminating the need for a remap by using standard parts? (FR and Cupra versions are identical engines, difference is software only). Or would it be very hard/impossible to get ecu/engine to talk to each other?
