Does anybody know of any very good aftermarket, rear parking sensors? They would be for a 61 plate MINI.
MINI themselves sell them for quite a good price but labour costs are astonishing.

Any help would be much appreciated!!

Be prepared for a deluge of comments asking why you need parking sensors in a MINI.

Because they are for my mum. Anything that helps an older woman driver to park is always a good thing wink

Any old cheap set works just as well as factory fit, but if you don't want them to stick out like a sore thumb then be prepared to do a bit of DIY. Some places will sell you the sensors prepainted for a small premium.

I have retrofitted them to several cars (front and rear) using square-on photos of cars with factory fit and some maths (work out the scale of the photo) to locate the sensors precisely. If you are very lucky there might even be marker points on the inside of the bumper (don't know about the MINI, but I've found them appearing more and more on cars these days).

Agree wit the above - any set works better but its the preparation that makes for a good install.
Taking pics - and if possible measuring a car with them already on is an excellent idea.
Did you put the front ones on a switch or are they "on" always ?
