Dont drink maybe?

Seriously though would you trust something that isnt a calibrated device?
It only takes 1mg to make the difference between ban and "getting away with it "

Useful for the morning after though. Who can honestly say they know exactly when they're safe to drive?

I saw on some "road wars" type thing that there was a tolerance and they wouldn't be able to hold a charge at 1mg over which would contradict what you're saying. Nobody is suggesting you use it as a means to drink up to the limit either.

OP - AlcoSense Elite.

Well if you are daft enough to even have a "smell of the barmaids apron" at this time of year then I just say good luck, there is only one sure way to see how much alcohol you have had and that is through a blood or urine test.

I've got one of the electronic £40 Alcosense ones you can pick up in Halfords.

In this season of going for a few drinks in the evening, and office parties, the morning after it takes just 30 seconds to turn it on and blow into it, just to get a piece of mind that you're okay. I'm just concerned that even if I feel okay, I might be running a bit rich still.

We bought a couple of the disposable ones for a trip through France a couple of years ago. They sat untouched in the car glove compartment for the duration, and a few weeks after our return, after a good few glasses of red wine each one evening, the missus and I decided to use them, just for a laugh.

According to the results, we were both OK to drive. Talking without slurring took concentration, so I somehow doubt it.
