Suggestions please.

I'm after some help please. While I was out today I noticed no heat coming from the heater and engine was running a bit hot on the temp guage. Checked fluids and ok but cold (left it for 30 mins once I got back before taking the cap off). Car was fine yesterday. Whats the likely cause? Water pump? Thanks.

Pump or thermostat i'd say.

Have you done any work to car recently eg changed water? Thinking possible airlock or thermostat. Good luck with it
