Duke the working Cocker , one of our three dogs.

About 6 old months here. 6 / 7 months ago.

And a few days ago making one of his first rough retrieves after only a couple of gundog lessons.

Doing well! Keep it up

Here's a picture of Scruff. She's a rescue that my wife and I have had since last September. We (and the vet) think that she's a long haired / long legged Parson's jack russell with a bit of patterdale in her. They think she's about 2 1/2 years old ish. All I know is that she's a legend and is both bonkers and extremely chilled out in equal measure. And she's got an underbite.

Scruff looks like a lovely dog (I am a big fan of small dogs with loads of character).

PS Great name for her. smile

What a difference a few days of anti-biotics have made to Lottie.

She is back to her old self, scooting about, lots of energy and enjoying the garden.

A lot better. With the occasional lapse.

On Saturday his limp was awful. On Sunday none existent and hasn't been back all week.

It seems to be on the way to mend. We had a meet with the breeder and lots of other cattle dogs on Sunday and lots of them hade some sort of lameness as young dogs. Part of the nature and the way they run about like mad things probably.

Thanks! She's certainly not lacking in character. We called her Scruff because she was... well... really scruffy when we rescued her. The sad part is that she turned out to not be all that Scruffy - she had just been so badly treated / abused that she's never really been stroked. Three weeks after rescuing her and after countless hours of stroking her we realised she wasn't really scruffy any more. And ever surface of our house was Scruff coloured.

Oh well, wouldn't change her for anything. Although we've since concluded that "Snooze" would have been a good name for her - she is never more than 2 minutes from falling asleep (apparently this is the Patterdale in her)

This is Dasher, our neighbours 5 month old bearded collie. He came round to play for the first time yesterday. The dogs got on really well. Although shy at first Mia soon got stuck in!

Looks great, I've got a dog of similar mix I think.

The second Scooby in our life. Our blue harlequin great dane Skye. Three different homes in the first year of her life and now well and truly settled with us at the age of 6.

She's not always the sharpest tool in the box

With a cows leg , her favourite!

And after just one litter in her life , her three children. Two went to family homes and one to a farm. We kept in touch with all of them , still do with two.
