I'm having to drop off my 4 yr old Lab, Charlie, at the vets in the morning, as he's got an infected paw that responded to antibiotics, but as soon as they were finished, the infection came back again. So they will have to give him a general, open up the paw to see if there's anything embedded in there which might be causing the infection, and flush the crap out, and sew him up.
Although he's built like a tank - near 40kg - he's never been given an anaesthetic before, I'm a bit worried, a)generally, and b) in case they find anything other than an infection afternoon. Fingers crossed all goes well, and he'll be back with me by late afternoon, being spoiled with treats such as pilchards in tomato sauce - both my labs go apest for them. This pic was taken in 2011, but I do like it

Until they fart
if Dogs have such a wonderful sense of smell why don't they ever move away when they release the most toxicand foul smelling odour.
Alarmed at the rattling of her ringpiece the dog twisted and lunged at what ever it was that ailed her chocolate starfish...
Unfortunately her twisting motion compressed the remaining gasses in her gut resulting in a full blown, mega decibel PAARRRPP!!! The poor hound looked genuinely alarmed as she jumped up and ran away but we were far too busy laughing to offer any sympathy.

Best of luck for you both tomorrow I am sure everything will turn out just fine.
