To pull or be pulled
Discussion
As Jeremy Clarkson once said the two main questions asked of a car are; how fast does it go? And does it pull? Does a fast car mean fast women? Just wondered if any of you lads/ladies out there had some 'interesting' anecdotes on the subject.
In the same kind of vein, do you seem to get pulled by the BiB more often in the TVR. I live in Cleveland (a speed crackdown hotspot). Got pulled several times (each with a warning, thank God) when I had the old BMW but since driving the TVR, not been pulled once (touch wood). Have had a few smiles and winks/nods from them though. Is this the same for others?
Dan.

I too live in Cleveland (as it once was!) and have only been pulled once in 6 years of driving TVRs. I've related it before, but will do so again.....
Exiting a T-junction from a standing start and turning right, I hoofed the Tasmin (with open pipes) straight past a Police van that was parked back from the road in a pub car park. I was doing about 40 in a 30 at this point, in 2nd gear, so fairly raucous. Also, I wasn't wearing a seatbelt, as is my wont.
About half a mile later, the van appears in the mirror with its blue lights going, so I pulled over into a bus lane to let him past. Alas, he pulled up behind me.
PC Bobby Copper gets out, and what do you think he'd stopped me for.... no front number plate.
Cleveland, of course, is also the speed camera capital of the world, so they obviously didn't want me getting away with it. Despite the fact that I had one of only maybe 3 Tasmin FHCs in the area, and the only red one. And I know 2 policemen.
As far as pulling power goes, I stopped in a petrol station last year and a Peugeot kiddy-mobile, with two young babes in it, pulled up at another pump. The driver said "Nice car", but when I said "Never mind the car, what about the driver", they both fell about the place.
Some you win...
