Not a big fan of most of the brand's offerings but that's great.

Are they bringing out a blue bezel version of this? I thought I saw it demonstrated at the same time as this was released?!

Blue Dial, Black Bezel as this one has but you can't quite see it. Green "DeepSea" writing indicates its a blue dial.

Lovely piece, just put one on a Grey RubberB for a client yesterday and he was delighted with the look and feel, really lightens the piece and makes it very sporty

ESorry... You lost me!

When Dom H started a thread on this, there was a link that showed 3 versions... One with a blue face and black bezel, one with a blue face and blue bezel and one with a blue bezel and black face...

Were they real or guess work? i.e. is this the one and only DSSD special?

There is only one - it retains the black ceramic bezel but has a blue-transitioning-into-black dial, the word DEEPSEA has moved from the upper dial text section to the lower dial text section, is back in the DSSD MkI font, is larger and is the same green as James Cameron's submsersible vehicle.

The blue dial / blue bezel DSSD was a photoshop or fake. Which is a shame as it's gorgeous!

Cheers Lewis (and sorry chaps, perhaps I didn't phrase my question correctly, originally) - That's what I was trying to get my head around!

The blue on blue or blue bezel version might have tempted me back into a DSSD but I'm not sold (as nice as it is) on this one...

+1 wink

Get it on a rubber strap though, Don - suits it more!

As for 'divers' watches... Who the hell can use the DSSD to it's limits or ANYWHERE close to them???

One assumes that everyone buys them for the engineering (or, say it quietly, because it's the 'biggest' Rolex)...

Crack on, Don - Crack on!
I had it on a Rubber B but this was a custom made Alcantara strap which so far, I prefer!

I robbed the buckle from the spare strap from my Pelagos

My eyes! Please align bezel to within 1/10th of a minute of arc, maximum.
...and wear it on the correct wrist.

Otherwise, nice watch.

It's a strange trick of the camera to show the date lens isn't really magnifying the date window very much. I thought the Subs really magnified the date?
