And despite Cowells fortunes he chose to buy the Stainless Steel version which was always frowned upon by the watch world as putting the height of watch movements into anything less precious metals just did not seem right.

So if you fancy one then £30k rather than six figure usually associated with a Tourbillon will almost get you there but factor in your potential servicing costs!

Full moon tonight... have wound all my moon phase watches and will do a group shot tonight (because I have too much time on my hands!)

Lovely! As the Steinhart is off for a service soon, I've dug this old Smiths Empire out of a drawer for a change of scale.
