And interesting it is! Personally I find stuff like this, as well as spots of PH stickered cars or old stuff like Capris and Metros far more interesting that pictures of some property developer's hypercar.paulshears said:

I was on a Geography field trip yesterday (I work at Leeds Trinity University in Horsforth) & saw one of these in Hansons quarry just off the A59 near Pateley Bridge - the photo was taken from The Coldstones Cut viewing platform which gives a great view of the quarry, & the surrounding countryside, should anyone be interested.
It's a Komatsu HD605 &, according to the driver, it has a 23 litre straight 6 turbocharged engine with a 7 speed auto g/box, reckoned to produce 740(ish)hp. Economy is not its forte but it can carry 60 tons.

Saw mickeyveloce's red C36 AMG at Harrogate Showground today. Looked auperb, even with 3 kiddy seats in it!
Ha, my first spot. Curse my incredible fertility, but the car does get pressed into family duties on occasion.
Eschewing Mrs Veloces generous offer of the Land Rover, me and my youngest two visited the (excellent) Countryside Live and then spent an hour later on washing the mud off the car...
Good to hear from you Benjj.

Took a pic as I wandered past. Your car and the dude who made a peregrine falcon fly past my head at about 70mph were the highlights of the day.

I was in Yorkshire yesterday for the Malton Big Breakfast so seen plenty of nice cars there, but on the way home on the A64 I spotted a white Mclaren 650s, thought it was a P1 at first, not sure if it was headed to Malton, looked amazing.
I saw this too. Figured it would have been a little late for MaltonAnd lastly Who is it who has a VXR8 in Barwick? It's very nice with a lovely noise.

6pm-ish Saturday evening, saw a nice E-Type Jaguar convertible in red driving through Stanley of all places. Mature couple driving it. Making the most of the unseasonable weather I guess!
Frog green Focus RS RS59M** driving down Aberford Rd towards Wakefield at 5:30 or so on Sunday afternoon.

Seen that E-Type around Stanley a few times, driving by the Travellers pub and Stanley local, Series 2 or Series 3 model I think. Frog green Focus RS RS59M** driving down Aberford Rd towards Wakefield at 5:30 or so on Sunday afternoon.

I was luckey enough to have a guided tour of the quarry, interesting stuff

Apologies for going off topic but I've also had a guided tour of the quarry along with 20 or so Primary Education students - in fact I'm off there tomorrow morning (final visit)& i found it interesting & the size/scale of the vehicles quite surprising (even though the truck was a tiddler in quarrying terms). The students, who are training to be Primary School teachers, weren't interested in the trip, couldn't see the point of the trip at all & thought it too dangerous for Primary school children. Hansons have links with local schools & have safely taken many groups of children round who have found it exciting & interesting. Surely one of the points of being a Primary teacher is that you get the children involved in things they possibly won't have seen or had access to before in order to get their brains/senses/imagination working? On the whole the students have been pretty negative & not engaged at all - all a bit depressing for the staff member who's organised the trip & who has to teach them (fortunately I don't) - I suspect they're going to get a "talking" to before long
Anway I'm way off topic - so I'll shut up
