Pitchers of the mammoth cowboy please.

After focusing on stretching the past few weeks, I tried squats tonight again with flat shoes and no plates under my ankles. Worked up to 100kg while focusing on form and depth and at the end decided to go for a rep of 120kg and managed without much strain at all. Confident now I'll make double bodyweight by the end of the year smile (152kg)

Hardly, because I'm not with the numbnuts saying you have to cut out alcohol and junk food which is what the permafats tell each other at the school gates.

Pah. CBA with macros. Just protein and calories. fk the rest.

Speaking of pizzas, I've been eating an awful lot in the last 6 months. Still weigh 70kg.

Don't get me wrong. I'm no whippet. However I got fat by eating too much, not by not moving if you know what I mean. I building up to running 5km and can easily swim 1km and ride my bike for 30 odd miles. Mobility is still there but I wouldn't be very good at the speed work I used to do for GB. It will come back, I know I can do it. Going to loose the first bit of weight building up strength to protect myself as I start doing more long distance exercise

my first 3 meals are the same every day, 4th (or last meal) changes but I watch carb intake mainly.
Sub 200g carbs a day. Plus the pizza I buy fits my calorie intake exactly woohoo

Your ankles and feet must be in bits running that distance at that weight?

It must be a very special feeling having that sort of power.

I think he has a great chance of winning WSM this year, will certainly make it an interesting watch.

I've noticed there's a lot more speed events now as opposed to pure strength.
I think this is part of the reason all the strongmen have started leaning up.

If he has some kind of muscle dysmorphia and low self-esteem issues then you may well be right. If on the other hand he's a healthy human being he will feel exactly the same as everyone else.

Don't forget his size is largely down to genealogical factors, steroids and a fair amount of cash.

I watched 'Generation Iron', and I was quite surprised at how open the bodybuilders were about taking anabolic steroids. I always thought it was illegal - but apparently, no, it is legalised cheating....

Funnily enough in the US where the movie was made steroid possession is actually illegal. Not so over here.
Whether it's cheating or not is a matter of personal opinion but as I've said above the really big guys have a head start and are always going to be big because they inherited the 'big' gene in the first place.
