Is this going to end up being Business even though it says personal?

Yep, someone I know already inquired you need to be a Director of a company and all that bks.http://www.nationalvehiclesolutions.co.uk/Volkswag...
Just another company trying to gain sales by illegally advertising it. It's not a personal contract at all.

I understood it was just a case of providing them with a letter from your employer to say you claim business mileage?
Someone said earlier that it was, but it is still not the greatest deal as it is 8+23+admin fee, so about £400 cheaper over the whole term, if you don't do any excess mileage, than the alternative deals offered via Phil etc, but no maint included.Emeye said:

i've been told they are going for high end german cars. They drilled the house lock and stole the keys then drove away for both cars. I'm a little worried about mine now as its kept on the drive.
I'd best clear the garage out then.Parking it in the drive will tend to tell them where the keys will be, an advantage of living in a flat.

I put 98 in it earlier mate, and I got 30 MPG and that was in slow slow traffic. It goes to show that it can be done, I don't take it out of race either.
Also mate, who's your gap with?! need to do mine!
I used http://www.ala.co.uk/honestjohngap/ with a promocode of HAT14.Also mate, who's your gap with?! need to do mine!
I've gonna do some tests with fuel and mode, next tank full will be with 98 and see if i get any difference.

Or park the car down the street rather than in the drive. Sounds perverse, but at least it won't be your house and they won't get your keys, unless they keep the area under surveillance, in which case, you're screwed anyway.

Thats a good call mate - unfortunatly for me i live in a tiny village, with nowhere else to park the cars, except drive/garage. There is a few nice cars around me, as i face the road i cant even hide my car around the back. I've considered a steering lock or even a tracker - but the trackers are pretty expensive (for a decent one)....and i dont even know enough about them to know if they are any good.Parking it in the drive will tend to tell them where the keys will be, an advantage of living in a flat.
Hi guys,
Ive seen the following deal - http://www.nationalvehiclesolutions.co.uk/Volkswag... and looking to get a Golf R
Currently the missus has a Polo which I'm going to get about £5k cash which will help fund deposit and monthly amounts.
I am currently employed by a company and receive a monthly sum (£85) for using my own car and claim back mileage at 37p a mile. I presume this then enables me to get a Business lease plan?
I'm looking to get something between £220 - £280 a month 5 door based on 10k miles if poss.
any help or tips would be great!

Hi Bonty,
Don't know how you would stand on your deposit but imagine insurance would cover you. Did you take out GAP cover? Surely that would sort it out.
On the subject of cars being stolen, I heard a recent report of BMWs (iirc) with keyless entry / ignition being stolen and the advice was to go to Halfords or similar and buy a steering wheel and / or gear lever lock! For all the advance in security and electronics, it seems you still can't beat old tech in some things.

Yeah, I've always believed that if you make it more difficult than a 'standard' vehicle from a security perspective they're likely to stroll on to someone elses car. Thats why I use a f**k off big disclock (or the frying pan as my ex's Dad called it.Don't know how you would stand on your deposit but imagine insurance would cover you. Did you take out GAP cover? Same with houses - good locks and an alarm means they're more likely to try next door.
Either way, they're all b'stards and should be chained to the back of a car and taken for a drive.

It's £225 a month including for 5k. But you need to be a company director or in receipt of company car allowance so it's not really PCH.
What is the excess mileage on that?Forgot to post photos of "her" R....as mentioned, the standard 18s look stunning on the red cars. These cars are superb, very few things will keep up down a back road, especially when things get tight. Race mode is too firm for most UK roads.....better to go to the individual mode, setting DCC in comfort and steering in normal, everything else sport....wow....works brilliantly! Paint is chipping quite easily, a feature of most cars these days it would seem.

Anyone else get a phone call from Leaseplan Go this afternoon?
I got a call too and they have emailed some quotes over for 2 or 3 years: not terrible figures as they include 10k pa and full maintenance including tyres but it's still a minimum of £80 per month more than Phil quoted and I can't see that I will pay anything like that for maintenance, servicing and tyres on a new VW and excess mileage through VW is only 7.2 per mile inc VAT so it still makes most sense to stick with the original deal, in my case anyway. Now were getting toward the end of July, it's getting closer to D(elivery)- day. Excitement is mounting...
