All joking aside, as I've only ordered my car today how do you find out what stages the car is at? I gave all my details to the dealership so does it just take some time for vw to let u know what's going on with the car? Thanks.

Your supplying dealer will be able to give you an order tracking number....

Depends I guess. My ds3 I paid nothing until the invoice arrived for the first payment after delivery. It's all dd anyway so no sweat.

Gives you plenty of time to put aside 1500 quid between now and April anyway.

Quick question; if you are getting delivery for March next year, when do you pay the initial 6 months payments? on order or on delivery?
Normally about 10-15 days after delivery.

Got the deal through Lease4Wheels. Still waiting on them changign my deal from business to personal. Seems to be dragging his heels on this.
Car has landed in UK on Monday, so i am assuming its 5 days for transporter to dealer.
Broker has said finance documents will be emailed to him first and then on to me.
I've asked him to put an urgency on the finance docs, due to the price increase coming in on the 1st November.

Bet you're getting excited now smile

Docs will come when the car is on the boat usually - who is your deal with?

Got and email and SMS saying I had got stage 6 on the tracker yesterday, but when I go to check the tracker online is says it can find my order. Odd.

Anyone else had this?

'We couldn't find your Volkswagen order number. Please check your 8 digit number and try again. If you continue to experience problems please email us at webmaster@volkswagen.co.uk'

Current deals end 31st October. 1% increase applied at that point. So approx £300 difference to deals.

Mine did something similar for a while. The tracker is possibly the most unreliable thing since brokers offered the "personal" deals a while back! If you're concerned, can always give VW customer services a call, they can check in real time for you.

Give the dealer a ring, my mates disappeared off the tracker as soon as it was off the transporter at the dealers.

To be honest, I'm sure it's fine. Just wondered if anyone had that, and it seems they had. So all good. Cheers.

Ok, so I've negotiated £2,000 +VAT plus 23 x £174.46 +VAT which is £7,215.10 over 2 years for a 3 door in white with DSG.

Maintenance and tyres comes in at £800 inc VAT if I decide on it.

Apparently two services are likely to be required at about £150 plus £250 so £400. 225 40 18 Bridgestone Audi approved tyres are £82 plus fitting from Camskill. I'm not sure if these are the correct tyres.

I was told that beign a 4wd then tyre wear would be even but this is basically front wheel drive but rear when needed so I'm not sure whether that applies.

So if four tyres were needed then total cost is likely to be about £750 or if only two tyres then about £580. What do you think - go for it or pay personally?

Presumably the maintenance and tyre contract would mean I could not worry about preserving tyres and perhaps other wear and tear items such as brake pads? I've not seen the T&Cs for this cover.

I've had a few messages about the deal I've been offered. I'll be happy to share once I've finalised my order but don't want to risk jeopardising it beforehand (or go further back in the queue).

Bloody hell, as if 300 bhp wasn't enough! I bet that thing is a monster, how's the old fuel economy doing on that then?
