Hi,
VW dealer quoted me £1030 plus 23 X 345 for a metallic 3 door dsg with Dynaudio total is around £8,900. 8000 miles per year.
Or, red dsg 3 door without Dynaudio is £914 plus 23 x £300 total is around £7,906.
All including vat.
Thoughts? Seems to me there is room to improve on this.
Cheers
From what I can gather the amount of initial deposit has an impact.VW dealer quoted me £1030 plus 23 X 345 for a metallic 3 door dsg with Dynaudio total is around £8,900. 8000 miles per year.

Also note that I was told that there is no difference in price between 8,000 miles and 10,000 miles (except that you pay excess mileage sooner on 8,000 miles).
The way I understand this works is that there's an amount of commission available to brokers or retained by dealers. The deal I have is based on the standard commission and a fair bit more being added in as a contribution to the initial payment bringing down the monthly payments.
I was given a screen print from the VW system and it all made sense so I think I was being told it as it is.

Ok, so took an R for a drive today... pretty bloody impressive, even got to have a go at launch control.
Details of the car I got quoted on was:
3dr
Manual
Lapiz Blue (+535)
19" Pretoria Wheels (+895)
Winter Pack (+360)
Total: £31690
Details of the PCH quote:
24 Months
10k p/a
Initial Deposit (inc VAT) of: £2022.82
23 payments (inc VAT) of: £308.63 without maintenance or £331.44 including maintenance.
.....as you can see, a wee bit more than others on this have been able to get their R for. However, not sure how this compares to other VW dealerships??
Cheers,

I read about somebody who bought a set of Pretoria 19's seperate to the Lease - took the car on 18's, will take those off and run the 19's then when the car goes back sell the 19's and return car with 18's. Could be cheaper and you don't need to worry about curbed wheels!! VW parts/wheels always sell well in my experience so could be a good idea...
I gave my local VW dealer a call yesterday and popped down today, the salesman knew I was coming and while I found him to be polite I can't say he seemed that bothered in helping me.
However, he did produce two quotes for me for a PCH deal.
Both are 5-door DSG cars in White, no maintenance or tyre cover included. 10K miles per annum, no admin/acceptance fee.
1st one has the 19" alloys, winter pack & keyless - 1 payment of £1,156.75 and 23 x £385.58. Total of £10,025.09.
2nd one is as above but no winter pack, and the black leather added - 1 payment of £1,323.94 and 23 x £441.34. Total of £11,474.07.
Ouch.
To be fair to the guy he did say on the phone yesterday that he probably wouldn't be able to get near any deal from a broker.

Note that the deal and contact I posted is for a VW dealer and dealers are in a position to beat brokers and also no arrangment fee. I was also told that if I decided to back out at a later date he could easily sell the car I specified so he would return my £500 deposit. No need to request details by pm as I posted them a couple of pages back.

I went and got a quote on an 'R' yesterday and was pleasantly surprised at the price.
I'm just about to drop my deposit on one but I have a question regarding spec. Can anyone advise if you can have the Dynaudio option fitted to a Golf R or not? The dealer seemed to think you could but the pricelist he gave me appears to show you can't.
If it's not possible, I'll be buying an S3 with B&O or Bose.
Thanks
