Just went for base spec 3dr, man, tornado red.

I contemplated over the weekend whether to spec dsg having had semi auto vehicles with paddles previously. Also considered limestone grey but my other cars dark (met black) so went with the mrs choice of solid red. In the end I think I'm happy keeping it as a performance bargain. I'm with you on the lowest spec. Car is not really a necessity for me so just want to keep it to a minimum.

Having said that... How good is the DSG anyone??

I paid my deposit last week and taking delivery this week. I think the deposit's paid once your car lands in the UK.

I just payed £500 now and then another 2.5k deposit when its close to being made.....

As for the 5k miles, I will probably only be doing 5k but VW give a minimum of 10k anyway

Thanks - at least I won't have to stress about going over 5k I guess!

Best deal I can find is:
£1,835 deposit
£204 p/m
£200 admin fee

Total cost £6,727

Close to going for this if something cheaper doesn't materialise....

Sorry for being uneducated. Had been thinking about maybe doing one of these golf r lease deals. Lings will do 3+23 for £277 inc vat. 2door manual. Works out to 300 when the deposit is averaged out. I don't really want an auto. Is that not about what they cost? I don't want to pinch every penny but even a tenner a month over 2 years...
Really kicking myself for not biting the bullet on an M135i deal now. £7k over two years to treat it like a rental and then hand it back seems a steal. Can I get an excess policy like with a hire car?

That's circa £600 more than you can get elsewhere.

3 Door - White - DSG - 1 x 2400 / 23 x 210.00

5 Door - White - DSG - 1 x 2400 / 23 x 217.81

Just had a quote from VW Swindon for red 5 dr DSG at 1655 + 23 x 276 which doesn't seem that great
