Hi,
Although mileage is 54k, the big service is due in a few months. The car has a fssh with the exception of just one interim. My local subaru dealer is quoting £617. Extreme scoobies half an hour away quote £545.

While the price isn't a huge issue, on a 6 year old car, is it still worth keeping the main dealer history up?. I've also got my doubts about the local dealer, I've heard some bad reports about them, but also read some great reviews about extreme.

I guess that when it comes to selling, a fssh is a point to some. Just wondered if extreme and some other specialist Indies have a better reputation than some dealers, so my cash might be better spent.

Really? I'm nor sure what it's like in Britain, but in NI there a handful of reputable specialists whose stamp means a hell of a lot more than a Subaru dealer's.

Cheers Paul, I'll give them a shout.

Art0ir, I agree, a specialist Indy to me is probably as good as or better than main, and wouldn't affect my decision on buying a car. Some are though...

I was just perhaps looking for some opinions on Extreme, with Pauls previous on Scoobies then I'll take that advice and spend the small difference on a pizza & a pint while they're servicing it.

Paul at Extreme is a really good guy, he knows his stuff. Besides, if a 'serious buyer' wanted your car, they would rate good indy above in-and-out franchised dealerships...
