just go separate SIM free phone and a SIM only deal, bundle contracts are bullst. That's why P4U was made to disappear.

Hang on.

I'm going for a 16gb iPhone 6. Looking at EE's contract prices, I would be cheaper going with them than I would buying the phone and going sim only. I think.

Admittedly I haven't looked at all the sim only deals yet.

Just checked it out now as I was curious - That handset is £539 SIM free, and my contract i think is £15 a month or something. Over 2 years that's £360 for the SIM, which makes near enough £900 in total. On EE an equivalent contract is £80 for the phone and £46 a month, which is nearly £1200 in total.

TBH even if it was the same money I think I'd go SIM free anyway as I don't like feeling like someone's little bh.

For half decent size you need to spunk 700 quid. Rather buy a new shed.

well yes, but so are brand new cars, new build houses, waitrose shopping trips, armani suits, rolex watches and taste the difference puddings.

but just think of it as a tax on the well off and unfortunately the stupid.

Just got this from O2: O2: We're so excited about getting iPhone 6 into your hands, we gave you the wrong Click and Collect date. Pop into the store you selected online, on September 19th, not September 17th. Enjoy your new phone.

Hopefully that secures my collection on Friday.

I currently use a 5.5 inch phone and you can carry it around in pockets and so on...it sometimes sticks out a bit but is generally OK. Definitely needs o be a back pocket I'd suggest though!

  • this post is in no way meant to contain implicit trolling about the availability of larger screens on competitor platforms* smile
Just curious, but how do you sit down or drive with a phone in your back pocket? Also, what about pickpocketing? I've never used a back pocket in my life for those two reasons.
Quite a delayed reply - if it's a soft seat, I just sit on the phone....otherwise I take it out and leave it next to me.

It's too large for pickpockets :-) you'd notice immediately if they took it!

I sold my iPhone 5 a lot quicker than expected and so while waiting for my 6 to turn up I have stolen my 2 year olds iPhone 3GS. It's like going back in time compared to my 5. It's heavy and slow. But, back in 2012 I upgraded the battery and today this 3GS battery is still 60% charged after a full day of use. My 5 would have needed plugging in several times. Now, I will admit the 3 is heavier but its a price I am willing to pay for a battery that lasts. I did check to see if the 5 was eligible for replacement but it was not.

(For those concerned about me stealing my 2 year olds phone he only uses it to look at pictures of dogs and he can do that on his ipad mini. For those concerned about my 2 year old having an iPhone, he only uses it to look at pictures of dogs.)

New? It already has on the Apple store.
Second hand? As soon as people have their new phones the market will flood and prices will go down.

So who's working form home Friday awaiting a delivery. New car should turn up as well.

I'm going to pop into Three later today to pick up one of their PAYG SIM cards and see how I get on with their 4G on my commute.
