What are Vodafone like as a provider?
I get discount through work making their plan the cheapest by some way from what I can see but I've never heard particularly positive feedback about the network so wondering if I would be better off paying slightly more and going with EE?
We're a small company with 7 phones on Vodafone and they seem OK.I get discount through work making their plan the cheapest by some way from what I can see but I've never heard particularly positive feedback about the network so wondering if I would be better off paying slightly more and going with EE?
To some degree in West Sussex it depends where you live, we have good coverage here, O2 is ste. Abroad we pay £2 per day to use our tariffs as if in the UK and the tariff in general (for a small business) is as competitive as the other providers.

I've been with orange, O2, vodafone, T-Mobile and three. Vodafone were by far the worst operator of them all. As soon as I'm outside a large town I didn't get signal and they're customer services were pretty shocking. Best thing to do is check online that the signal covers the area you are going to use the phone in.

Well I'm sending my 6 plus back. Tried it for 3 days and just can't get on with the size.
Luckily I got a 6 at the same time so I'm sticking with that. Shame really as I wanted a big'n. I'd say a 5" screen would have been better than 5.5"
And another one!!! Why not wait a week or 2 after release so you can see the devices for real? Unless I'm missing something that if you have a phone on the day of release ladies drop at your feet?Luckily I got a 6 at the same time so I'm sticking with that. Shame really as I wanted a big'n. I'd say a 5" screen would have been better than 5.5"

Sympathy is zero and its a shame the distance selling regulations can't deal better with this type of behaviour. I knew a guy who had an internet business and he moaned about people buying large screen TVs before the world cup and then sending them back once England were knocked out. He took a significant hit on every one.

Madness. It shouldn't be allowed to be returned IMHO. The law is an ass in this instance. DSRs are a good thing in certain situations however a really poor show in this case.Luckily I got a 6 at the same time so I'm sticking with that. Shame really as I wanted a big'n. Not the most popular person in my house at the moment. Ordered my iPhone 6 and provisionally sold my 5 to a friend having just replaced the battery (so far so good). I then decided to change the battery in my wife's iPhone 5 - unfortunately I really struggled to remove the old battery which was glued to the base (the tab broke). Finally replaced it with the new battery and put it back to together only to find I have damaged the edge of the main board and the power/home button no longer works
Phone is now on eBay as faulty (spares/repair) as it is not an easy fix - I have had to give my iPhone 5 to my OH (so £200 down on what my friend had offered). Not ideal.

My 6 plus arrived today. Great phone and it's suprisng how quickly you get used to the extra screen screen size.
Only downer at the moment is quite a visible speck of dust in the corner of the screen. Whilst I'm not going to fly off the handle with rage, this is a 700 quid device, so I guess I will have a chat at a genius bar at some point.

For those with a 6, does it lose 4 of the 5 dots of signal like my Iphone 4 does when you hold it with your left hand?
Lol no. I'm left handed and I have never seen that. When they made the (now obsolete) iPhone4 they didn't bother to get anyone left handed to check it, so if you are left handed and sweat abit, like me, it touches the aerials and you loose almost all the signal, really stupid design.

Voice coverage is fairly good, it's just that their data coverage is very poor. I travel all over the UK and it's fairly patchy. Even when I get 3 or 4G the throughput and latency is poor. I'd change in a heartbeat but I'm on a corporate contract.Compared with EE or 3 it's like night and day.

bout time, it must have learnt about my post as its the first time in a few months that its actually had a signal and not taken 30 seconds to load a simple page.

Well, just don't hold it that way? When they made the (now obsolete) iPhone4 they didn't bother to get anyone left handed to check it, so if you are left handed and sweat abit, like me, it touches the aerials and you loose almost all the signal, really stupid design.

I'm really enjoying my 6. I've been an Android user for a while and finally Apple and iOS have appealed to me. Maybe I'll change back, but for now I'm happy.
I had to laugh at work today when all the fan boys started looking at my phone. Whether they be Apple, or Android fans. You'd think it was life and death.
