Are your contacts on Yahoo, Hotmail or Google? All of my contacts are on Google - so logging in on any device puts them across.Assume Google +?
If your contacts are not on one of the above, it's a 5 minute job to put them out there.
Photos - Flickr? Again, I'd use a cloud based solution.
Says here iOS8 needs around 5.7gb to install - http://www.theverge.com/2014/9/17/6342157/ios-8-fr... over the air install, less for tethered, but installer packages are usually smaller (zipped up) than the installed OS aren't they?

te.Considering Apple are pretty much the only company that talk about improving things in China etc, I'd be surprised if anyone else's production companies are any better. It's good for all this to be highlighted, but a bit unfair to target one company purely because they're the most well known company.
