I got bored at work on Wednesday and ordered an Iphone 6 (64GB in Grey) and it came yesterday, I am now a bit of a convert, already have an Ipad and my Galaxy S4 mini didnt have a big enough screen but work wont provide the Iphone so have stuck my works sim in the Iphone, after a bit of whttling of the Sim card with a craft knife.
Very impressed so far, not really fair comparing to a last gen, cut down Samsung, the Galaxy 5 being a more realistic rival but it is so much nicer, I like the neater screen with just icons but not having the back button takes some getting used to.

Don't use a screen protector. Totally unnecessary.
I thought the same. I am very careful with my phone so was surprised to see many light scratches. I immediately bought the Anker glass protector as above. As mentioned, it's good but only just covers the screen so you have to be very precise when fitting it.marctwo said:

Well anyone who is "very careful" with their phone is surely more than capable of being equally careful when fitting the screen glass? Although why need screen glass if so careful?
Yes, I am capable of fitting the protector carefully, and I did just that. Why did I get it? Well, as I already explained, it managed to get light scratches on the screen and I don't want any more. Short of not actually using the phone, I am not sure what better course of action there is?

I was very careful with mine, washed my hands in fairy to get rid of grease, lint free towel thing. Several alachol wipes etc.
Still managed to get a few specs under it. It also is under 1mm wider than the screen. You need tone very precise fitting, or you end up with the edge magnifying the border.

Just got myself an iphone 6 and for the first time I have had to have a case on my phone, the phone is just too slippery and too large to hold it comfortably without dropping it and I don't have small hands by any stretch.
The screen is nice, the way the screen meets the case at the edges is nice and the touch sensor on the home button is good. However I don't like the way the home button makes an audible click and the battery life is still as poor as ever but that's no great surprise.

I got a delivery of test phones for our lab at work today, an iPhone 6, a Nexus 6 and a Nokia Windows phone.
I may have already managed to brick the iPhone 6 trying to put the latest iOS beta software on it (through our developer account, so nothing dodgy). However, what shocked me the most is how big the Nexus 6 is - I still think the iPhone 6 is too big, but the Nexus 6 is far too big for my liking.

Standby: 8hrs 15min
Safari 73%
Mail 17%
Home & lock screen 5%
Messages 5%
my battery is currently at 45% remaining

Managed to recover it on my mac at home, no idea why it wouldn't update via iTunes at work.I may have already managed to brick the iPhone 6 trying to put the latest iOS beta software on it (through our developer account, so nothing dodgy). With regards to battery I've foundry iPhone 6 to be a lot better than my iPhone 5, which was replaced 2 months before I got the 6, so not comparing old with new.
