I know TopnGear season 22 is being filmed as a "friend" lent them his car to use wink
With Chris Harris standing in for Jezza?
Happened to spot Jezza last week at Blyth services being filmed driving a BMW i8. Very nice it looked too.
I saw him driving his GT40 a few years ago.

That's nothing!

I know a girl, who is married to a guy called Dave, who's sister dropped her keys in the street. These were picked up by a bloke who once changed the oil on a car owned by the lady who cleans the house of owner of a pet shop that sells hamsters.

There's a guy works down the chip shop swears he's Elvis. I also know a chap who bought a track suit where it was described as "Top Gear".

I got a nail in my tyre on the Top Gear track (which was probably from one of the wrecked caravans they like to smash up) frown

How about- my wife used to own the Ka previously owned by JC's mother and then was owned by his children's nanny. the nanny was my stepson's girlfriend at one time. One of the most attractive women I've ever met. the nanny, I've never met JC's Mum.

"Driven out of" Argentina. That's some coincidence with the number plate, genius if you ask me

The Argentinians are desperate to be offended.

The Telegraph said:
Local councillor Juan Manuel Romano said the digits 269 on the number plate of the Ford Mustang Mustang Richard Hammond was driving were close to the 255 Britons killed during the 1982 war.
He added that the numbers 646 on James May's Lotus could be taken as a reference to the 649 Argentinian casualties.

Just hope for the sake of the programme they can verify that the Porsche was bought with that registration and it being a pure coincidence. Anyone got access to the database to see if it had a plate change recently?

Of course, this may mean that the Christmas special will be even later than usual this year.

It is the original reg for the car. To say that they looked for that plate, and it just happened to be on a car that was suitable for the challenge, and that it just happened to be for sale, is just laughable.

I could see that it was the current plate and suitably age related (as much as the DVLA cover anyway) and that it has plenty of tax and MOT but know that an HPi check would show any plate changes - I'm not that bothered that I want to pay for it though! I doubt that they would go tot the trouble of finding a plate and buying it to use though.
