Lampredi V6. Not a Dino, despite some claims.

Saloon was a 2.8, iirc, but the coupe had a 32 litre.

There is now an updated video explaining he has been offered a refund. He takes a lot of time to explain why Porsche are still a great brand. Which makes me think there is some serious back scratching going on.

I applaud his efforts. I wish I had the foresight to do something similar, but Porsche GB was already threatening me for libel when I wrote my 'blog' on PH. Ultimately it's not as clear cut a situation when you buy a used car.

Just goes to show the power of media.

O/T: I had a scan down the thread on that link and came across this:

I saw that. Made even more impressive by the 4,500 service interval.

I did want the Recaro's but this has had all the necessary work done and the standard seats offer plenty of support so I am not complaining.

The chap has just bought a new car. Isn't it slightly bad form to just point out something you don't like about it?

It'd be like him showing you a pic of his new girlfriend and going "Ha, she's got a fat arse"

Be happy, be nice.

You might want to try "Nice Clio, they're great fun. I prefer the lightweight Recaro seats, but each to their own"

Apologies if this comes across as a bit preachy, but I'm sick of these sorts of throwaway comments being used more and more often on PH.

It's only libel if it's not true.

It doesn't bother me to be honest what other's think, i am the one who has to drive it etc.... like i said, the Recaro's would have been nice but as this car has just had the cambelt, full service and 4 new premium tyres i can live without the seats for the price i paid. I have bought the cheapest 197 Cup in the country and on paper i would argue its one of the best out there regarding the condition and service history.
