On very toppy prices I'm not sure, but other than those desperate to shift something it seems not so much. Internet driven car ads mean that for most, they're all working to sell at the most attractive price so won't discount further. I suppose anyone not working to this would feel they justify higher prices and stick to that. Nothing against dealers (apart from not being able to afford nice cars!) but I've almost always bought private.

As important as they are, I can't help thinking they look crap with the short wheel base hehe POA eh, how much do you think? There used be one that my old man knew of, in a lock up on a grim Cumbrian trading estate, metallic black or grey iirc

Liking this a lot today: http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/b...

Great colours, mileage, right gearbox and wheels, sunroof too (contentious, I'm aware, but I like them), decent price for the (claimed) miles too...

Long time lurker wondering what people think about the following deal:

Under 20k miles & under £40k, you think they'll give a good price on a lightly used mini?
Add says 996 Turbo but that isnt a 996 Turbo?

Looks great - better value than the Blue 997 Turbo i posted a few pages back. Car is in Northern Ireland which can have an effect of price.

Indeed, looks a bargain. If it was only a stolen/recovered Cat D (not sure how it's proven) and the mileage is kosher that is stonking value. Looks incredible too in that colour combo with the 18's.

Would anyone even pay £4k for it?

I guess if someone fancied a project you could go find the most immaculate, boring spec 320i auto saloon you can, and transfer all the good stuff from the convertible into that.

I'm no expert, but really? A soft-top E36 corner quicker than an E46CSL?? Sounds dubious to me!

And is it just me, or can you see the body flexing in that photo above?

Either way, I'd rather put my £7k in that stolen-recovered E46 M3 a couple of pages back.

It's a convertible running slicks. You'll be gluing it back together every 5 minutes.
