I've just remembered I saw a track prepped E46 M3 in rush hour around London Bridge recently. It had a super wide front track and some very aggressive front camber, I think it had the rear 18' wheels all round.
If it was Phoenix Yellow - it was my brother's Supercharged British Drift Championship car. Utterly mental and magical to drive. Around Bedford we were taking the wee out of the 997GT3RS brigade. 465bhp and 1250kg dry weight helps. Gruber said:
No - e61. We bought the good President CdG's 523i wagon from him earlier in the year to use as Mrs G's daily driver / baby wagon.
We're currently a two 5 series family!
Thanks for the congrats. It's a knackering old business. The idea of having a second one seems like complete madness.
Congrats man! Our second arrives theoretically in 2.5 weeks but really any day now. We will also be moving to 2 larger cars. We're currently a two 5 series family!

The B10 and something for her other than the WRX. Likely estate or X5.

By all means but if I can find the space I'll tuck it away and slowly bring it back to something to be proud of. Funnily enough the garage where I've left it had an E36 Evolution in Dakar with cloth interior. Parked next to it it made mine look very 3rd hand but on closer examination, frilly arches, puckered cloth seat pad, faded paint etc. they're all old cars that are due a bit of a refresh.
Plus I'm not going to repeat the E30 scenario of watching the car triple in value a year or so after I sold it!
How's the thirsty Merc?
Good Thanks! Not as thirsty as expected actually. Getting about 25mpg on the commute. Not an 'agile' car but certainly good fun. The noise is the best bit. The big service was expensive but its made a big difference so im happy. Hoping that it may even increase in value given the rarity. *wishful*Plus I'm not going to repeat the E30 scenario of watching the car triple in value a year or so after I sold it!

I hear you on the E36, can only go up. My ideal one would be a launch version 3L in Dakar. The one with the yellow grille. followed closely by Diamond Schwartz!
Im hoping to get a shed for the winter, there's been a Focus MK1 floating about the family for years and my brother is looking at new cars so hopefully i'll bag it.
ETA: Stolen from the Barge thread. Monumental amounts of want, just the way it is. dont touch it. dont wash it.

There's something a bit badass about this car!

"I bought the car from the original owner in 2003. It is originally a 1986 M535i.
In 2008 the engine from an e34 M5 was put in (s38 b36) by Fritz's Bits."

Shocking lack of detail and pics and anything else. Come on man. People are talking about Beach holidays....Cheburator mk2 said:

Looks fantastic. Those Alpina front Spoilers look so right. Not a bad advert too although if I were the seller I would make more of the service history. Do these B3's come with an LSD?

Looks nice. The seller also has the most amazing E91 M3. You can see it in the garage pics. Probably the best conversion in the UK, if not Europe. I'm currently in the market for a daily grinder with some fun potential and reasonable comfort and a massive boot. I've spotted this 3 pedal 3 litre twin turbo with a wavetrac lsd and some bilstein b12 goodies. Worth a go or not fit for purpose?

Depending on budget, the e61 isn't a bad barge. Ours is base petrol SE spec, with no leather and few toys, but it's a safe, easy to drive, comfortable, spacious old thing. Doesn't feel particularly "premium", especially compared to the B10. But it does the job, and all for sub-£4k.
I'm trying to persuade Mrs Grubes we should chop it in for a Defender 110. She's not amused and so I suspect the old 523i is going to be a keeper.
Good luck with no.2!!

As our resident lurker of BMW forums I can tell you that belongs to a chap on E90 Post (it is also advertised on there http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=100... ). If you have a sniff around his old posts you might find out more about the car of course.http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/331314216309
I think the car has Logic 7 but he's either not aware or hasn't pointed it out.
I remember it being for sale about 18 months ago in the wider market and I think it had 60-65k on the clock back then, so I presume the mods are all relatively low mileage.
Nice car. Best wheels for an SE too.

Really like that. Love the engine, and they are my favourite wheels for a 3 series (better than the M Sport wheels - I know, I am strange...). Like the SE look generally. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/331314216309
You want a massive boot - depends on your definition of massive I guess (and what you are comparing to), but I don't remember the boot being massive (eg. compared to a B8 A4, say).

They are my favourite wheels for the 3 series on that SE, like that car.
Saw this one on bmw5 which is well worth posting as a saloon.

Might be chalk and cheese but not sure how it stacks up against the B4S though in terms of value.
