Pretty sure Phil's car has the front lip too, no?
Thanks all thumbup

Yes, mine does have the lip. Time to get it all shiny.

1st part of plan, on Friday I get my first sensible car: a diesel.
2nd part of plan, smarten it up and sell M3 (maybe give it a run at Bedford first...)
3rd part of plan, something daft.

These have grown on me in recent times too. £75k though? Bonkers.

I like the idea of turning the barn find into a resto-mod though...

Ideal candidate for Ferrari racing.
I think that's what Chris Rea has/had.

Bloody hell, that's got an AJ16 XJR engine and gearbox conversion.

Rarely have I wanted a car so much.

Tried not looking at that, it is utterly superb and would suit me down to the ground.
Coming to brands?

No idea where Thomas finds these......
Wow - I'm obviously not up on my Porsche specialist, as I've never heard of him. He has a great toy shop, though - and if I'd won that £150m last week, I'd have had some fun choosing from some of his stock!
I've bought from and sold to Thomas, top bloke and does a lot of business in the RS/GT market together with Paul McLean at GT Classics.

Lots of his stuff doesn't even get advertised as it moves very quickly.

I'm sure a good one was £25k not to long ago although this one is low mileage.

In fairness, they are on the move, along with lots of other things. Yes, we were talking 348s for 25-28 for a nice berlinetta not long ago. Mid thirties now.

Makes this worth a sniff IMO

Given the 12-cylinder models' rampant appreciation at present, the baby Testarossa looks can't be hurting.

Working on it dude. Have had a few sniff's on the 55.

O/T Loon. Chap at work used to have a 1974 911 2.7 Carrera, sold it when he moved to Germany about 10 years ago. Back now, he'd love another. What sort of value are they?

Most seem LHD and prices vary massively! Anything for 35k to 150k!

A challenge as I can't think of the answer.

A modern Intergrale type car, that isn't an impreza.

£8-15k
4wd
250-300bhp
Not R32 levels of thirst.

Girlfriend/suit and tie friendly.

Ideally, I'd like a 4wd cooper S, a tiny bit bigger, but they don't seem to make them.

Answers on a postcard, pair of socks for the winner.
The answer?

Golf R. Ordered my 'lease spec' 5 dor earlie this week, £6,500 all in for two years. Will be with me for Feb, but will wait until March.

A fellow threadist had a punt in a slightly muted one yesterday and declared it a car for all jobs and all people (or something along those lines)

smile
Funnily enough I was reading November's Evo magazine last night and they tested the new Impreza against the Golf R and declared the Golf the winner - not only more comfy, and mort grown-up, but better to drive seemed to be the summary.

I might go and test drive one myself at some point to see if my "anodyne" comment is fair. smile

The pricing on the lease deals seems incredible.

It was the car I lusted after most during my formative years but even if I could now, I wouldn't.
Like for like I'd be taking the 190E, or 968CS - the gulf in values just doesn't compute. Actually, I'd probably take a 318iS or 325i Sport if an E30 was desired.
