The article says it has had a 'hard life' but it's only done 69k - that should be only just run in? It certainly shouldn't have a dodgy gearbox surely?

I have that slightly lumpy vibration at idle.
Is that "normal"? What causes it, and can it be mapped out as suggested above, or got rid of some other way? (which comes back to "what causes it in the first place?").

Seems to be referred to in a number of places (different forums) but no real answer on why it happens, or how (if) it can be sorted.

Seen it mentioned in quite a few places (here, Audizine, RS246, etc), with various answers from "it's normal" to the need to change mounts, spark plugs, coil packs etc, with some saying nothing seems to make any difference.

Ex press car, then used and abused as a dog-carrier by one of Harris's relatives.

It's had a hard life.

You horrible nasty man. I bought one on your review and it is in every way better than all my past dalliances. I like you am finding a replacement difficult. Its in a niche of one car as far as I can tell.

I cant say mine has been entirely trouble free as it had two new clutch packs and a mechatronic. Think that was £4k and so glad Audi picked that up under warranty.

On the loose suspension control feeling try an Alukreuz lower chassis stiffener and uprated anti roll bars. Made a big difference on mine as it is a big heavy old beast, but agree some bushing at 69k miles wont go amiss.

Can you get an Alukreuz for RHD now. They used to be LHD only
