One last question, why did the OT crowd give Rooney an ovation for getting sent off? Both Sky and BBC5 remarked on how odd that was.
I suspect they didn't think it was a red. I didn't when I first saw it real time, only when I saw the replay did I realise how much of a dick he had been.RichB said:
ManU may have shown resilience but to say the Hammers created very little is wrong. The stats show West Ham had over 50% more shots, more on target and more corners. That for an away team doesn't read like creating very little.
As for luck, indeed, I haven't seen MOTD yet but Charlie Nicholas was pretty certain Nolan's equaliser was onside, apparently they showed a reply on Fox Sports and it was indeed an ok goal.

The replay on motd showed it was offside , as for stats , the whole game west ham had 3 chances , stats are useful but don't reflect things like the quality of the opportunity , they don't differentiate between a player being one on one with keeper forcing a save and a tame effort from 40 yards forcing a sAve.As for luck, indeed, I haven't seen MOTD yet but Charlie Nicholas was pretty certain Nolan's equaliser was onside, apparently they showed a reply on Fox Sports and it was indeed an ok goal.

West ham aside from the goal had one golden chance which was immediately after the first united goal , but after that there was the near post save and that was it , they created very little an odd half chance maybe
Whilst nervous from the scoreline and ten men I never felt united were under extreme pressure.
Only just seen your next lot of fixtures, this will be a good way to measure where the signings have put you....no doubt you lot are preying for some CB's to come back.

Interesting few weeks. Jones is back for Sunday and Smalling isn't far away. The Chelsea and City games could be painful but we will know a lot more on Sunday as Everton will came and have a real go.
Not so sure , they were quite negative against us... I was shocked, I expected them to have a real go at us.Gassing Station | Football | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
