What sort of driving are you doing to get that? Mine only has 600 miles on it and is averaging 40mpg so far.

I achieved 690 miles on a trip up to Newcastle. The car was filled a few days before, drove locally for about 50 miles, then an early start saw me take the A1 up north to Newcastle, then down to Bolton and then Bolton to surrey, so mostly motorways but with say 100 miles in and around towns. On the MW I set cruise at about 80, and just glide.. I use cruise often and it seems that this is the way to achieve high MPG's. The wife doesn't do more then 70, especially with our two boys in the back, so its easy to see how she achieved higher. As time passes the car has become more efficient. I drove to kent yesterday A3, M25, M20 in efficiency mode and used cruise, achieved 58.6 there (cruise was at 75mph), but I got bored and on the return leg it dropped to 49 (there or thereabouts) mpg. I think you will see the MPG improve as the car wears in but acceleration does nought for MPG...

Indeed, once I stop playing with the paddles and sports mode in the gearbox that might help as well ;-)

Filled it last night and the car reckons it'll do 570 on this tank so we'll see how we get on, that's mainly town and my commute which is a mix of 30/50 country A roads and not very much stop start.

Ours has done 7000 miles now, Addblue was filled up around 6000. Best range on a tankfull is 760 miles. Had a few niggling faults, Audi dealers are very poor.

Fill up, find a down hill section of Motorway and reset the MPG... LOL I achieved 190MPG down hill on the M25 past the M23...and a range of 1300 odd miles.... soon adjusted itself to a more realistic figure once it had to deal with a few inclines...

Hey I can get that sort of mileage out of my RS6 using the same technique, sadly when I touch the accelerator I'm back in the low teens! wink

Had a few issues with DPF and regen, Car was in regen every trip even after long runs. Dealer was hopeless, Tried to tell me the cooling fan was running to cool the brakes! Had a few issues with Stronic aswell, juddery and failed to reverse when cold.

over 8'000 miles and still getting good MPG, although a little lower now I'm giving it in the gears., still mid to late 40's though. And have also permanently left the car in dynamic as I find the steering in comfort way to loose, anyone else think the same???
The reason I'm posting though is that the other day "up north" coming down a country road, wet, a very tight S-bend approached, I touched the brake on the straight and the back stepped out, only briefly and all controlled by the car, but it was most disconcerting... Yes I had a boot full, you know the typical A6 boot full, golf clubs, trolley, brochures, over night bag etc, but its got me look at winter rubber now... Anyone else experience this???

Blimey, that would wake you up! Not had that at all, but then I've not really driven it with anything much in the boot. Do drive it on wet roads with lots of bends daily, not had anything like that though, not even a hint.

How much is an Ad blue fill up? I presume that you can do this yourself?

Mainly asking as I never owned a diesel, let alone one requiring it, before moving to the US....and it's a novel idea here. Though I think the new A3 may need it.

Hi all

I'm looking to buy a new audi a6 2.0 tdi black addition saloon but it's first time buying a new car and am trying to gauge what a 'good' vs average PCP deal looks like.

I saw someone mention they got a great deal but what exactly is that? All dealerships knock several thousand off instantly which looks great but equally feels like that's the norm and no one ever pays list price..

Guidance on what a good PCP package for that car looks like would be massively appreciated!

Thanks in advance

Look on Drive the Deal or Carwow for an idea of what you should be paying.

Keep an eye on the interest rate and GFV for a PCP deal as they impact the monthly price

Can you ever influence the grv or the interest rate? A dealer told me these are set in stone by audi

Hi All,

I've had my red Avant for 2 weeks now, waited a long time for an exclusive order and now Misano is a standard cokiur option! Anyway, there is probably only one or two out there in Misano and it looks the nuts, definitely consider it if you're ordering one of the face lift ones.

I've averaged 44 over 500 miles so far, not great but I get bored easily!

Given the launch of the facelift and the fact that my exclusive order was no longer exclusive Audi have sorted me out with another car for April. I Ticked the sline sports suspension box this time and am perhaps regretting it. Any thoughts?

I have gone with rs6 style wheels this time rather than blade and note they are 45 profile instead of the current 35 profile on the blade style alloys. I wonder if this will improve the ride... Perhaps more than offset by the extra 10mm on the sline sports suspension.

Hmmmm I'm happy with the ride as is, like a sportier look, but don't want to ruin the ride! Any thoughts welcomed please.

Luke

Proof that red looks awesome! It obviously had to match the NSX!

The red looks great on the A6 and I don't normally like red on bigger cars, though the big wheels help too.

Just been on our company car online configurator tonight and I was pleasantly surprised to see that an A6 is an option for me. Unfortunately not the black edition, but the (190PS Diesel) SE Ultra Avant still seems to have plenty of toys on it (compared to my current 320d SE Touring).

I would spec the auto box, so is it realistic to expect 45+ to the gallon on mostly motorways and A roads (I don't use a fuel card as the tax makes it not worthwhile).
