Alignment specialist or Porsche mechanic specialist?
Discussion
Can my usual porsche specialist do alignments better or worse than shops that seem to specialize in suspension geometry alignments only?
Generally speaking that is. Obviously, in either case it does come down to who the specific shop and people that are doing it.
993 Turbo with stock suspension and the respect it or hate it kinematic toe.
Thanks for any suggestions.

There are a number of Porsche 'specialists' regarding all aspects of the car mechanically but often when other people with Porsches (unique marks not just Porsche) will recommend alignment specialists and not the mechanics.
With stock suspension I don't think they can do a 'corner balance' but that is something I'm not sure if the mechanics are capable of. I hear of people bringing their cars to small race car setup shops.

Not sure where the OP is based, but Chris Franklin at Center Gravity is THE man for setting Porsche geo. He WILL transform your car and is one of the few who understands and can set up the rear kinematics correctly on the 993/Turbo.Not cheap mind and has a waiting list.
The OP is in Nebraska ...... a little far for Center Gravity, me thinks. Gassing Station | Suspension, Brakes & Tyres | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
