Hi all,
I'm currently with tradewise and autonet is the brokers, its coming in at £980 for the year, I'm 40 with full no claims and a couple of SP30's.
Can anyone recommend any other companies or let me know what they are paying?

thanks

Andy

We use Amlin mate. I have no idea what we pay however our accountant is a shrewd cookie so I'm sure they were competitive.

See if your broker can get you a quote from Covea (MMA), best avoid trade wise and tradex when you come to make a claim you might wish you'd paid more for your policy.

Agreed, although MMA are only marginally better than the other two

We deal with Axa direct, was the most competitive by about £2k p/annum on a £6k policy.

Indeed? In my experience Tradex are regarded as the bottom feeders of the motor trade world, as in they insure what everyone else doesn't want and their claims service doesn't have a great reputation. Tradewise now insure a large portion of the market and have a very good product which offers more cover than many other insurers. I'm not aware of them having poor claims? Covea (MMA) are a well regarded insurer, but their product does differ.

Always check what each product covers you for as they do differ.

You may also want to try a broker called Tradesure www.tradesure-quote.co.uk 0121 246-7070 who specialise in motor trade insurance, ask about an insurer called Chaucer who also do MT.

Tradewise claims operate out of Gibralter and can be difficult in event of a claim.
Tradex is bottom of the barrel, most exclusions, cheapest, you get what you pay for - which is not a lot.
