I would like this as a London crash pad, its a bit Tardis like, check out the brochure. It's a hell of a lot nicer that one of those silly flats at One Hyde Park

think i'd rather have a well-sorted riad in the old town hidden behind an anonymous door, like everyone else.
That would be my choice too.
Meh...you can keep your boring townhouses - I'd rather have the magnificent palace smile
no worries. I'll just leave these here then!

another one. this is about 5 minutes from me in a town overlooking the firth of forth river just along from the forth road bridge. 6 bed/6 reception/4 bath and was once owned by an author and built for a locally renowed guy in the 1870's i like the mixture between new and old in there! the brochure has some more pics of the period features!

Loose change compared to some on here
Eden Grove, like a miniature Yorkshire Museum. Good house, good setting.

My parents live a (long) stones throw away from there.
I'm very surprised anyone on PH knows where Carlisle is!

Why do you say that. It's just the other end of the line from Settle

There are ignorant and ill educated people all over the county. I would have thought most people have heard of Carlisle. Mind you when I watch those daft quiz games on TV it's amazing how poor people's general knowledge of their own country is. biggrin

why the photo of the towels?

all that money to buy - a good few million more to furnish/decorate it to a decent level.

That's a great house, but looks like it faces onto the back of housing association type bungalows.

Yes, I'm being snobby, but need to be when spending that kind of money.

The best you can say is that it makes good use of the views but no garage and nowhere for the car collection and this being Pistonheads means... Ah'm oot!
