Wasn't that the one that was owned (when on the show at least) but a partner from my old place? (CW..)

Ruined with that 2-story glass monstrosity on the side!
I quite like historic buildings with modern glass extensions. But I do not like that. Looks like they've stacked a couple of portakabins against the flank wall and then glazed them.
That's the issue. The other side looks lovely.

Hmm, not sure they've used that space very well. Feels a bit "airport lounge" to me. I like the walls and materials, but not sure about the configuration.
I know what you mean. I'd slum it though wink

Bit close to the A449 though, I expect you can hear the lorries thundering down from the Midlands from that bluff. Plenty of nicer places in that area, just a little to the North.

That's a bit of me, and in the area where I am planning on spending my retirement when I'm (much) older.
That'll work. Although with Henley I'd prefer one of the houses just downsteam and over the river from Leander that have the boat house underneath them...

You'd need to add some money to the pot on top of the other house to get one of those!

Nice but no garage. well a stable block that's only 14' long is not much use even though the agents deceptively call it a garage. An XK150 is 14'7" so no use for a collection of cars and I'll bet it's listed and all that crap.

Been browsing this.

Currently configured as several houses and flats, garaging, basements and various workshops. Set in 125 acres.

1.75M.

Thing is, it's only the gate lodge. Also included is the main house.

It has been owned by the council for decades, is shagged, and will be an absolutely epic money pit.

now that's a find!! Good work.
Indeed. I think you'd need at least 5x the asking price to get it into any sort of order, but what a place when it's done!
Agreed. Hilariously ruinous. With no hope of ever turning a profit, at least it (hopefully) won't be turned into a modern interior designer's new portfolio book. Does risk being bought by some horrific foreign gazillionaire as a holiday house though. Would be interested to see what happens to it. Hopefully only good things.

fk me, what a ridiculous price for a small house.
It is lovely though, and lots of land. Bigger isn't not necessarily better. Million quid doesn't get a whole lot where i am.

Nice mix of old and contemporary in the Cotswolds for £2m.

One of those houses where the architect hasn't given a fk that it's actually a house, and just wants to show off. Not even sure what some of those rooms are meant to be used for. Can't imagine many people being able to live there.

£2.0m pounds and the dimensions on the floor plan are unreadable! I'd tell the agent you "must try harder!" laugh

So at 1% they'll be creaming off £20k, yet the mediocrity of most estate agents amazes me. What do they do for their money?
