Apart from the 2 in the bar, and 1 in the hall?

The hall one is a mirror. There are more pictures sitting on the floors than the walls!
That's a dismal and depressing set of photos taken on an iPad.

We recently looked (out of curiosity) at some 2.5m townhouses. New build and top spec, 3000 square feet each, similar sized garden, overlooking the Castle and Long Walk. And I thought that they were too expensive...
I know those - lovely townhouses. Agree about the price.Originally Eton land IIRC.

Nice local house.

Now, I know that 3 million is still a lot of money, but it really doesn't seem much for such a historic building. http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/prope...

They'll struggle to shift that at 2 million let alone 3.
You're right there.It's worth £1.5 million of anyone's money.
I'm from Carlisle, and my Dad owns a nice barn conversion a few miles outside Carlisle. He'll be lucky if it's worth more than 1/4 of a £million.

It's an absolute cracker.
Unbelievable that such a place can be bought for a bankers bonus.
It looks borderline habitable to me. The purchase price would pale in comparison to what it would cost to get it looking like a home you would be happy to live in.Unbelievable that such a place can be bought for a bankers bonus.
absolute nightmare to deal with.
This has appeared locally, ok it's not total prawn worthy. But I wanted to share with all the PH property types, is this over developed for a modern new build village estate ?

I'm in the process of buying a 70s detached of similar (or even bigger proportions) for over £100k less.
Admittedly the house we're trying to buy requires extensive modernisation but how far do you take it ?

A lot of people like that sort of thing. The footballer lifestyle but in a smaller home.http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/prope...

Lots of bling to impress friends and nothing much to do leaving time to go shopping.
There are an awful lot of people who really can't be bothered to do anything beyond shop for more stuff and run a Hoover round so I see your point but see it from another angle.
The buyer might well want a lot of the furniture left and though we can criticise it's how things are.

That's a strange observation to make, based on a house that's recently decorated. What if you're someone who's bought a do-it-upper but have done it up so it looks 'finished' - can they go shopping or not?
