My thoughts also. Very nice conversion but next to a well-used road and an airfield. think I'd want a bit more seclusion for £2.5m. At £1.5 - 1.6m it might be worth it.

Suitably ruinous for this thread.... Can't help but hear the Father Ted theme tune when I look at the pictures. Nice outlook though

Nothing spells money pit like a semi-habitable listed building 3 hours by ferry from the nearest builders merchants eek

Seems like it might be a good idea the way things are going.

You need to go further away, somewhere Logan would like.

Coober Pedy, Australia where there are many underground houses. - http://www.realestate.com.au/property-house-sa-coo...

Or something bigger if it's still on the market - http://www.theaustralian.com.au/news/latest-news/h...

And a copy of Fallout 4 to prepare.

Seems so old fashion in its decor and yet it has a pole in the bedroom with a sofa placed in front of it. scratchchin
Update the décor and you have a very reasonably priced 'sex' house. Just needs a 12 seater jacuzi and a bar, perhaps strengthen some beams for a sex swing.

I really like that. With 4 acres of grounds I'm sure it would be possible to construct a barn-like garage somewhere on the estate.
me too

What a grim looking interior. Like living in a slightly better appointed prison.

Taking a quick look at the pics I'm guessing a developer built on it's surrounding land and is now selling it off.

... and doesn't see any financial incentive to renovate and sell the original house. Have they consumed too much of the curtilage with the new builds?

Certainly looks that way from photo 6. A proper house like that needs a bit of land around it.

On the satellite view you can see the building site that's taken the majority of the garden. What a shame.

Zoinks - sandwiched between new houses, an industrial estate and a public park.

Old peoples home or flats - not really good for much else now.

This is an odd one, the decor looks cheap but then check out the garden pool and garage...
