So they hit it at speed, but because it was a Hillman imp, with the engine at the back. Instead of the back end flipping up and putting them nose on into the ground, it kept them at a perfectly level trajectory, over a hedge and into a field.

Rally over.

Of course that whole story was told by there facial expressions
